Cranky is very responsive to uplifts and has little sliding to the side at the pitch. It lies on its side quickly for the falling action. It has irregular falling actions and changes direction during the fall. It is good to make small hesitating uplifts to the top and then let it fall all the way down. It drops fast so it is very effective in strong currents and complex currents. Best fishing rod is soft.
